Our Vision

A world where every child, women and men free from HUNGER, suffering and maintaining human dignity

Our Mission

Our objective is humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity

Guiding Principles

Human Dignity

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, including the right to food, health, work and education. The inherent nature of every person is creative, resourceful, self-reliant, responsible and productive. We must not treat people living in conditions of hunger as beneficiaries, which can crush dignity, but rather as the key resource for ending hunger

Gender Equality

An essential part of ending hunger must be to cause society-wide change towards gender equality. Women bear the major responsibility for meeting basic needs, yet are systematically denied the resources, freedom of action and voice in decision-making to fulfill that responsibility.

Ending chronic hunger requires action that catalyzes large-scale systemic change. We must regularly step back — assess our impact within the evolving social and economic environment — and launch the highest leverage actions we can to meet this challenge

Solutions to ending hunger must be sustainable locally, socially, economically and environmentally.

Transformative Leadership

Ending hunger requires a new kind of leadership: not top-down, authority-based leadership, but leadership that awakens people to their own power — leadership “with” people rather than leadership “over” people.

Want to get involved?

“You don’t have to go 7,000 miles away to Syria or Lebanon.”

From the very beginning, we have built this community together. Every donation provided to reduce hunger in our beloved Druze communities is made possible by generous people like you. There are many ways to get involved, create something, and build a brighter future for the children and women of Druze families. Fighting hunger in our Druze communities starts with you joining us to fight hunger one family at a time. Which one will you take?

Do I have to be rich to join?

No, we have people who are donating as little as $10 a month and making a different. If you think, you are too small to make a difference try sleeping with a mosquito.

Will I be charged any fees from my donation?

No, we do not charge any fees the Druze foundation works with volunteers in the USA, Syria, and Lebanon who devote their time for the cause of eliminating hunger and not monetary purposes. However, If your donation comes from outside the countries of Syria and Lebanon there is a small fee of anywhere from 3%-4% in order to transfer the money.

After you join, you will have a login and password into our software that will provide you with an update every step in the process and more importantly allows you to track your donations at any giving time to ensure your hard-earned money is being used for the intended purpose. Not only you will be able to track your money you will be able at all times have access to the # of families you are helping and the grocery store contact information in order to verify your money is being used for the intended purpose.

Who selects the families?

If you provide the full amount to help a family you will have the option to select the family as long as they meet the eligibility criteria and we will locate a DHP participating store nearby to provide the money to.

If you provide a partial amount you will be able to select the country and type. We will select the family and store.

Please note with either option you will have access to our software that will allow you to track your money, the # of families you are helping, and the grocery store contact info to audit.

I want to know more about hunger?

We recommend an article in the New York Times titles “Stating the Obvious: Hunger Is a Disease” by Mark Bittman. The link to the article is:

Why this is only for Druze communities?

Our overall vision is to see a world free from Hunger. Having said that we do not have the manpower outside Syria and Lebanon. We will help anyone who wants to take this model and apply it in their communities and we will be able to support in providing the tools and technology we use. You will need the infrastructure in your community that is trustworthy and has the time to do the research to find families in need and local grocery stores.  If you are interested, please contact us.

Why do the family not receive the money directly?
Is this a religious organization?
  • No, our primary objective is humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity. We assist people who are victims of wars and lack off opportunity. The name Druze came from the current geography we have footprint in which is predominantly Druze, However we help ALL people who live in the areas we cover. We look forward to expand into different areas. For more information on our expansion plan click here.
